Langtang Helambu Region Trekking
Langtang-Helambu Region Trekking lies to the north of Kathmandu and offers a multitude- of trekking destinations, all accessible without flights. The three major areas of Langtang, Gosainkund and Helambu, which can be combined in different ways to make treks from seven to 16 days long. Lang tang is a narrow valley that lies just south of the Tibetan border. Its sandwiched between the main Himalayan range of the north and a slightly lower range of snowy to the peaks to the south Langtang Lirung (7246m) dominates the valley to the north; Gang Chhenpo (6388m) and Naya Khang-ri (5846m) lies to the south; and Dorje Lakpa (6966m) protects the east end of the valley,
