Bardia National Park

An hour-long flight from Kathmandu and a few hours on the road brings you to the jungles of  Bardiya in west Nepal. Safari in the pristine jungles of Bardiya is an unforgettable experience that will remain with you for a lifetime. The national park is home to countless species of mammals, reptiles, and birds, some of which like the Bluebull are not found in Chitwan.


Lumbini is the Buddha's birthplace, one of the world's most important spiritual sites and attracts Buddhist pilgrims from around the world. Today you can visit over twenty-five Buddhist monasteries built by diverse countries from Vietnam to France, study Buddhism, meditate and visit the birthplace within the sacred Mayadevi Gardens.

Chitwan National Park

The Chitwan National Park is Nepal's first national park and lies at the foot of the Mahabharat range in the inner Tarai lowlands of Chitwan. Covering an area of 932 sq. km this is the most well-preserved conservation area in all of Asia.

Detail Itineraries

  • Day 01Arrival at international airport, transfer to hotel by private transport and stay overnight in HotelHigh Spirit Treks representative will welcome and receive you at the Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu and transfer to the Hotel, overnight accommodation as per booking. In the evening, you can walk around touristic hubs like Thamel and Basantpur for a personal interest. Overnight in Kathmandu.
  • Day 02 Half day Sightseeing in Kathmandu and Flight to Nepalgunj and drive to Bardia National parkWake up early in the morning and half-day sightseeing Swayambhunath and Boudhanath. After that transfer to Domestic terminal for flight to Nepalgunj and drive to Bardia. Arrival and Relax in our Tharu bar or beautiful garden. Discover Tharu's life and culture through our Tharu village and culture tour. This essentially dances performed by local Tharu dance troupes and is a highlight of any visit to Forest Hideaway. You will see colorful dances with traditional costumes and music. Stay overnight Stay at Bardia, (B-L-D plan)
  • Day 03Walk/ Safari for Dolphines - swimming views. Walking allows you to explore the rich diversity of the jungle, grasslands, and rivers. This is the best way to see wildlife and nature close up. Your guide can give you in-depth information on the habitats you pass through, details of the plant and animal life you encounter and will brief you on general tracking tips.
  • Day 04Exploration of Tiger territory (Half day Walking)Elephant back safari - Bardia National Park provides a number of well looked after domestic elephants. These fearless, majestic animals provide the safest and easiest way to move around inside the park. Walking through tall grasslands and dense jungle, you’ll sight wildlife safely from the back of the elephant.
  • Day 05Early morning bird watching followed by chance to relax or explore the surrounding village and drive to LumbiniExplore the community forest, river habitats, and open water areas to see the wide range of varieties of birds. Bird watching is best done on foot for the least disturbance, but you can take a jeep safari or drift down the Karnali River for sightings of the many river birds. Our well-trained guides can help identify the different varieties of resident and migratory birds encountered. During the months of September, November, February, and April, migratory birds arrive to augment then a number of residential birds giving birdwatchers a great opportunity to enjoy their sport.

  • Day 06Morning Sightseeing and Drive to Chitwan National ParkWake Up early in the morning and visit the Maya Devi Temple and Its Sacred Garden. Back to the hotel and after breakfast, drive to Chitwan National Park and transfer to the hotel. At first, we will do Village tour to a nearby ethnic Tharu village where you will learn more about the life and lifestyle of the Tharus after that Visit to the National Park Visitor's center where you can learn more about the history of the National Park and about wildlife & Sunset view from the bank of Rapti River. Tharu cultural dance presentation (which you will also participate in) by the local villagers. Overnight in Chitwan
  • Day 07Canoe ride, bird watching and Elephant SafariWake up early in the morning and after breakfast, Canoe ride along the Rapti River. An excellent opportunity for Bird Watching and for seeing the two rare species of crocodiles, Marsh, Mugger, and fish-eating Gharial. + Jungle Walk + on the way back one can enjoy the elephant bathing.
    Elephant Safari: An excellent opportunity to see four different kinds of deer, rhinoceros, wild boar, monkey, leopard, sloth bear and the Royal Bengal Tiger (If you are lucky).You will also encounter many other smaller mammals that have made Chitwan their home. Tharu cultural dance presentation or Slides show presentation. Overnight in Chitwan.
  • Day 08Visit Elephant Bredding Centre and Drive back to KathmanduMorning breakfast and visit the Elephant Breeding Centre and drive to Gorkha Bazaar. Sightseeing around Gorkha Durbar (palace), Kalika Temple, Tallo Durbar (palace museum), and Fort (kot) with a superb view of valley and Himalayas including Dhaulagiri and Manaslu. After that, we drive to Bandipur. Overnight in Bandipur.
  • Day 09Final Departure Free Until Departure. You will be transferred to airport 3hrs prior to flight time or Joined to next trips
