Mardi Himal lies in the Annapurna region, just east of the Annapurna Base Camp. Mardi Himal Trek is an exciting experience as quite a few trekkers have explored this newly introduced route. Situated at the base of mesmerizing Mardi Himal and Mt Machapuchhre, the Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek incorporates almost all classical and exotic settings such as uncontaminated villages, wildlife, panoramic mountain views and range of landscape from forest to high alpine.Mardi Himal Trek is an ideal choice for those of us who are looking for an ‘off the beaten path’ trekking experience in the quieter parts of the Annapurna region of Nepal. It is the lowest and perhaps the least visited of the trekking peaks in Nepal. While trekking on this route, leading up to Mardi Himal base camp and finally the high camp, we get to appreciate the solitary trails complete with verdant forests, interesting villages, valleys, terraced farms, dazzling rivers and the extraordinary views of the Annapurna, Machhapuchre (Fishtail) and Hiunchuli mountains.
Mardi Himal Trek is not much challenging and has good trails. Few of the times, the sections are quite steep but at the other times, the ridges are grassy and easy to walk. The maximum altitude for the trek is 4500 m at the view point or the Mardi Himal Base Camp. The panoramic view of the mountains Annapurna South and Machhpuchhre (Fishtail) will make you feel heavenly and rejuvenate the tired body. This trek will also impress you with the flora, fauna, wildlife, the green rich forests of Oak and Maple and the gorgeous national flower Rhododendron along the trails. Mardi Himal trek is simply the best trek not only for the views of the mountains but also to discover the traditional village life and a true countryside of Nepal.
